It appears that King Diamond is being arsey & hasn't agreed to be live streamed. According to the schedule all other main stage bands are being streamed.

Broadcast times are in the About section on the Live Stream link (above)

Oh, I did! It was just over a four hour drive each way but it was definitely worth it. Such a happy & relaxed atmosphere. I was really impressed by the fact that, despite there being so many drunk people around, at no time did I get that feeling that something would kick off.

I got to the front for Sabaton & they were every bit as good as I was expecting, even allowing for some early technical problems with one of the guitars. Their rapport with the crowd was incredible.

A fantastic day all round :)

ps Even the toilets were fine

I hope the streaming works ok for Slayer later. I gather there were some problems yesterday.

Looks like they've chucked extra hamsters on the wheel for Slayer's live stream. I've had aborted attempts to watch Amorphis & Anthrax today. The stream was totally unwatchable.

I watched it & actually enjoyed it but a lot of people who were there are saying that Slayer seemed disinterested. Jeff hasn't been there for over two years though.

first time I have seen them without him, tom was doing his best but Kerry looked like he was going through the motions

Do you think maybe it's time they called it a day?

yes, was saying that to the missus when I was watching the bits I saw. Plus Jeff wrote the majority of the great stuff. Would not want them to tour round each year on a greatest hits tour with different muscicians

    Electra, have you seen this?

It's ridiculous how often unfounded accusations such as this get thrown around at metal bands. It's bad enough with folk metal bands (although I can see how the conclusions get drawn with false logic), but I don't understand this case at all.

Yes, I've seen it. Is seems it's someone who could do with a history lesson, getting himself worked up about Ghost Division

Someone needs to introduce him to Attero Dominatus

    Panzerkampf

    and Stalingrad

The whole things ridiculous. Especially the bit about them potentially desecrating the flag. You're far more likely to see Joakim waving a great big f*ck off Hammer & Sickle onstage.

Tbh, I've never heard of anything in connection to Folk.

This band was my 'find of the festival' at Bloodstock, on the Sophie stage. They've been around for several years but I'd never checked them out. This is a new track from their upcoming album.

Hi all, new to this thread! Just got back from my holidays in Greece, while I was there on the hotel tv in our room, amongst all the german, french and greek channels (and Sky news for us brits!) I found lots of coverage of the Wacken 2013 festival. Managed to see quite a bit of it over the 2 weeks we were there, particularly enjoyed Deep Purple. thought you guys might be interested:)

    http://youtu.be/VLbVdE7-f7o

    Also Alice Cooper

    http://youtu.be/ygsaU6ml4Yo

    and Motorhead

Lemmy was not well and had to leave the stage.
All the best to him, hope he gets better soon.
