Steady ladies (and gay gents)! It's David Tennant ......

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01jqq59
Radio Times http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/cpq2d7/the-escape-artist--series-1---episode-1

David Tennant stars in this drama as Will Burton, a highly talented junior barrister who is in great demand, having never lost a case, much to the frustration of his courtroom rival Maggie Gardner. But when he successfully defends Liam Foyle, who was standing trial for a high-profile murder, he has reason to regret his peerless legal skills. For Foyle is a serial killer - and before long he is on the hunt for his next victim. Ashley Jensen, Sophie Okonedo and Toby Kebbell co-star.

Running late already because Mr Mazz decided he just had to go and make a drink. Honestly.

I have often wondered how defence lawyers justify defending the indefensible to themselves. For instance the vile Mark Bridger.

How do they sleep at night - particularly if they get someone off when they suspect they were actually guilty.

A large cheque usually helps them sleep.

Having asked many barristers this same question they told me it's not a moral case of guilty/not guilty but how best to present the case to get them off.

I always wondered this too. I'm glad they said that the defence barrister doesn't know that they are guilty when defending them.

I used to ask the same thing how Solicitors could act for the parents of children who they had abused when I worked for Childrens Services.

You lot are easily scared. The most frightening thing about this is the green camera work - again.
