For years I had a phobia about mobile phones and refused to get one. However, because of something that happened last year, my sister bought me one so I now have a Nokia 3330. It's only ever switched on when I need to use it (which is pretty irregular). I don't even use up my free minutes.

It's there as a comfort to me but no more. It's certainly not an essential part of my life.

Huh? Reception? As in signal reception? No signal indoors? Increase pulling power?? I've a feeling that may have just gone *whoosh* over my head, or were you asking a serious question?!?:D

Ahh, I see... nope, I've never had any problems with the reception on mine - not quite as good as my T39 with an aerial, but no complaints from me!

Still, my contract's up this month, so I can upgrade then!! :D

I have a T68, but it hardly ever gets seen by anyone. I keep it hidden. I don't see my phone as a fashion statement, and I am only concerned in its ability to function as a phone.

Wow - a thread revived after 12 years? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

(It's scary - I was twelve when somebody last posted in this thread before today.)

Not as if we have an entire Mobile Phone forum or anything of the sort.

    I don't have a mobile. I did, but some **** nicked it.

    ...this thread is certainly funny!!

From 2002 - people posting they have Nokia 3310s, 3210s, T68s, etc - which were probably cutting edge 'fones' (and WHO's idea was it to spell it like that?! :o). No sign of iPhones back then at all....!!!!

And now, here I am posting that I have an iPhone 6.....!!! Man this IS a weird thread.......!!
