I am a bit surprised at this, surely it can't be true.
White people turned away from a cinema because it was only open for Muslims.

Doesn't surprise me, if it was the other way round they would be crying like little spoilt girls. At least they say there is gong to be an investigation.
Not sure where the racism comes in as being a Muslim is a religion not a race.
I think they are trying to say they are racists against white people. Forgetting that loads of white people in Britain are now Islamists too.
It sounds like the cinema representative judged him not to be celebrating the festivalbased on his skin colour though.
Or it could be classed as religious discrimination, either way it's discrimination.
So first off they were stopped because they were white, and then presumed they weren't muslim. So the cinema's managed to tick off quite a few boxes. On my FB this morning there was quite a few people complaining about this.
But it wasn't Muslims who turned him away. It was the security guard on the advice of the staff. Vue is investigating so it'll be interesting to see how this came about.
Of course it's discrimination, if that's what happened. However it's unlikely the ban had anything to do with Muslims.
Why would the police be involved in a civil matter?
You could be right:
That's if its true of course.
And it's a racisim crime, so thats criminal, apparently as long as your not white!!
I don't believe it either.
Then why have Vue issued an apology? Only in Britain could British people be discriminated against because they don't follow the dictates of a foreign religion.
Vue should have their license pulled -never mind an internal investigation. The authorities should be involved here.
Why? It's not company policy, it would be stupid to pull the licence because of a security guard.
Is there any real need for that?
