I must admit total defeat with this one. I can honestly say I don't remember him at all. And I suck at maths, but then someone invented the calculator.
Richard O'Sullivan had a stroke in 2003 and is now a resident at Brinsworth House, Twickenham. A home for retired actors.
I didn't know that....that is soo sad. I grew up watching Richard O'Sullivan in those now cheesy 70's sitcoms. I hope he is being well cared for and isn't suffering.
What ever happened to the Northern Irish geezer who presented Catchphrase??? Also, where is Ted Rodgers these days....? Class quiz show hosts they were!

He became an alost total recluse about 1992, and it was said he became so destitute he was seen begging for money in South London railway station's in recent years. He will be 62 next month if my memory serves me right. I wonder if some of his former co stars still visit?
Whatever happened to Richard Blackwood , the MTV presenter who was also a comedian, and had a top 3 hit with a song about himself presenting on MTV! I liked him, he was funny.

Roy Walker still does cabaret, Ted Rogers died a few years ago. He did adverts I think for McDonalds, I'll need to check, and died shortly after (no connection I hope!)

What a tragic end to his career/life. Wasn't he married to his co-star in Robin's Nest, the pretty blonde woman (ex-wife of Tony Blackburn) at one point? 62 is so young to end up in a Nursing Home. Poor man.
Anneka Rice, is a stand in on Radio 2, The Wright Stuff etc, paints nudes, and is a travel writer.
George Layton, still acting dunno about the stage but on telly at least once each year. Was in E=mc2
Anneka has also appeared on stage in various plays, one being The Vagina Monologue, and she was in Never Mind The Buzzcocks last year, unless it was a repeat on UktvG2 I saw, and George Layton can also be seen pruning his garden and selling insurance for over 50's etc at the same time.

I don't know if he married her, but he certainly had an affair with her, well, they had an affair with each other! He always seemed to get the blame.
Her name is Tessa Wyatt. You can end up in a nursing home at 18, believe me, I've worked in a couple. There are homes for young and physically handicapped, young being 18 - 60. For 3 years I looked after a former Manchester City player, who was about 61 when he died. He played in the '56 cup final (and scored) The game was famous for Bert Trautman the MCFC goalie not realising he was playing with a broken bone in his neck until after the game.

There for the grace of God.... I'd rather top myself than go into a place like that!
Anyway, thanks for the info on Ted Rodgers...sad to hear he'd kicked the bucket. I don't remember hearing about that.
What's Patsy Palmer up to these days? Always thought she was a canny little actress with more talent than your average soap poppet.
She was in You mag yesterday. Has had a couple of small presenting jobs on satellite channels. Decided to get clean and spend time with her young family, apparently.

In later years I would sometimes see him in a pub on Kew Green, sometimes drinking with Ray Brookes (who has now returned to the screen as Pauline Fowler's nagged other half).
I can assure you that Brinsworth House looks like a very well run establishment as it is near me. The Queen is now the patron on it, following the death of her mother. It's a shame that all homes aren't as nice and that all elderly people don't have access to such wonderful amenities and landscapes.
