Looks as if it'll be nice here today. The haar came down last night about 6-30pm (& it was pretty chilly) it had lifted again by about 2-00am.
I hoovered my entire house yesterday & then cleared all of the weeds from the driveway! I'll weed the borders later today. Thank god for Vit B 12, that's all I can say. I'm sure I use it all up in the 1 few weeks after I get it.

Think we are forecast cloud most of the day, but you never know your luck
Yes does sound like you are hammering the Vit B 12, you should learn to pace yourself so that the effect lasts that bit longer

Heehee, need to strike while the iron is hot.
You must miss your garden at your old place (it was lovely). Have you had any nice surprises with plants appearing where you are now?
You're bound to have different plants at the coast than what you had at your old place.

It was a lovely garden but getting out of hand, we didnt spend nearly enough time working out there and the trees were in need of attention really especially the very large willow. We understand from our old neighbour that the new people have actually already taken down some of the trees. In this garden we only have two trees, an apple and a eucalyptus the rest is laid to lawn so think we can cope with that. There are loads of shrubs along the borders dont know what half of them are though We have a number of hyacinths dotted about but dont know if anything else will emerge.. We have decided to go down the container route, then we can keep everything in check

It's true once trees are established they do need a lot of maintenance........I had that problem at my old place too.
I'm sure you'll be able to cope with just 2 trees. Tubs are certainly a lot less work, minimum weeding etc.
It'll be good to see what surprises are in store as the seasons change.

Yes we cant wait One thing that surprised me since moving here is the number of garden birds, loads of blackbirds and wood pigeons landing in the garden, would love to feed them but frightened that a flock of seagulls will land

I love the wee blackies, I was watching one yesterday building a nest in a huge tree outside my garden. So cute.
Timo is really scared of the gulls & always runs into the house when he sees/hears them.

Aww bless him, suppose it must be a bit frightening especially the racket they make

I don't like them, they can be vicious buggers!
I remember a few weeks before I had to have wee Saffy put to sleep there was a flock of them circling overhead of her, she was petrified. I think they somehow knew she was quite ill.:mad:

Did you raise the possibility of having the injections closer together?

There have been a couple of cases here where they have picked up a kitten and a rabbit. No shortage of food either.

Poor little Saffy, bless her, must have been really traumatic for her and as you say they can be very vicious.

You need one of those hanging bird feeders, from a tree or fence, or a free standing one like a metal frame with arms to put some tasty suet treats, seed or meal worms, they love them.
Domn't put food on the ground then the seagulls won't come down.
Blackbirds mainly eat worms and that, i don't see them on my feeders, i've got about 5.
Get loads of starlings but can't do much about that.

Morning Honey.:)
When anything is hungry it will take anything of the right size.
A seagulls jaws are similar to a snakes, they just open and take whatever it is.
I've seen one swallow a massive plaice and that really surprised me, was watching some fishing boats unloading.

Yes we had loads of feeders at our old house and I suppose I will be ok if its just seed but I would be wary about suet treats, used to get those balls of fat but the birds arent the tidiest eaters and you always get a certain amount on the ground so wont risk it just in case.
