    The skinny guys in The Big Bang Theory always have food in front of them but you never see them eating it. They just move it around the plate

    Every episode will have at least one instance of a character going to the fridge and getting a bottle of water, EVERY episode, I'm bloody obsessed with it now.

    Sid James always seemed to be eating in films, although he was not a character.

    Long time ago but Arthur Fowler in Eastenders was always eating a meal.

    Some directors have long thought that cast members seen eating with their mouth open whilst having a conversation "adds realism."

    Where in actual fact it just provokes a feeling of revulsion amongst many viewers.

    Yup, they seem to tap the plate with the tines of their fork about 6 or 7 times in quick succession.... with this being the internet, some one will have figured out that its some kind of code by now! :D

    Him and Pam Ferris were always eating in the Darling Buds of May. I always remember them sitting in the bath together scoffing a full english breakfast.

    I noticed that, and on Friends too. One of them would always go and take a bottle from the fridge and spend the rest of the scene fiddling with the lid. :D

    Also Caroline Quentin in Jonathan Creek was always munching on something.
