Saw it today in Glasgow, a must see for fans of Northern Soul, great soundtrack. Pretty standard storyline, with a couple of teenagers becoming friends with a common passion, throw in a love interest, some violence and drugs which were a part of the scene although I've seen comments on Facebook saying that there is too much emphasis on the drugs. I thought it did make the film a bit dark but this was well compensated with the music, the dancing and some laugh out loud moments in the film.

Got the film and soundtrack for Christmas.
I am obsessed with northern soul now. I always liked the music, but now I GET IT!

After 3 watches of the film, I see the beauty in it. I know it has had mixed reviews, but I am one person who loved it! Vastly superior to 2010's Soulboy!

The only thing I would have changed would have been to have MORE scenes at Wigan Casino!

Elliot James Langridge and Josh Whitehouse - ONES to watch for the future!

Highly recommend Northern Soul - The music and the film!!

Yes, I imagine this to be a pretty decent film and the soundtrack is inevitably going to complement the film and make it even better.

Have to disagree with this, had a bit of a Northern Soul day and watched Soul Boy and Northern Soul. Really enjoyed both - essentially they are both about the music, the dancing and the era with a narrative that joins it all together. They both do a great job with the first 3 areas but for me Soul Boy has the more rounded story..

In saying all that, both films were highly enjoyable and the Missus and me will be heading for an all nighter as soon as we get the opportunity!
