I can't for the life of me remember if it was explained how UNIT knew to be waiting outside St Paul's cathedral for Missy, The Doctor and the Cybermen...

Can anyone help??

Well, presumably it was Missy., but I'll give it a 50/50 chance that Steven Moffat will decide that it was someone else at some point.

They were genuinely a bit shit in Death in Heaven. I liked Osgood as a character, but UNIT has any measurable force seemed to be Sanjeev Bhaskar and a plane. I think they've dampened Kate a bit since her initial appearance; she comes across more HR than head of an international organisation.

Bring back Harriet Jones !! We never saw her 'killed' by the Daleks. She could take time out from Downton Abbey and make a surprise appearance as head of UNIT!!
