Yes. Any EP tryly taking their lead from DS would have split Maurel up a long time ago. Sometimes decisions will match what the majority of FMs are saying just because the Producers see the same as the (admittedly very small) sample of audience that post here do - that certain characters or plots aren't working. What should they keep stuff going that doesn't work to be bloody minded, so they can't be accused of pandering t the audience even though they'd decided the same thing anyway?
