Help needed (nokia fans)

Hey gang

SOooooo here's my problem, I'm a techno-phobe!

I'm currently using a Nokia 7500 (it's the one that looks a bit like Kryten from Red Dwarf - here: http://www.mobilegazette.com/handsets/nokia/nokia-7500/nokia-7500-prism-combo.jpg )

I LOVE it - it's got camera and video, calendar, WAP and outside of that it's just a NORMAL phone.

My problem is that I want to stick with Nokia, and I HATE all this rubbish that seems to be on EVERY phone now - I don't want digital radio, I hate these big screen things (that all seem to look like early 90's nintendo gameboys), I don't want to access my frikkin' facebook through my phone, I don't want web I just want a PHONE, with buttons, that does what mine does now - and I want a Nokia cos I prefer their menus.

So, I upgraded a while ago, and I HATE the phone they sent me: http://www.gadgetreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/nokia-6700-classic.jpg

...cos it has no buttons (instead it's like 3 bars across the phone where the buttons used to be), it's nigh-on-impossible to use and the once-brilliant menu button has now been converted to a scrolling menu BAR on the main screen which is time-consuming and rubbish!

So, help me - what phone do I now swap this new piece-of-crap for?

Needs to be
Nokia
VERY few frills
Operated in the same way as the 7500 (which now is discontinued)

DS gang - can you help!?

Try the Nokia 6700classic, uses a slightly newer version of the software on the 7500.

I believe that was the 2nd link and the OP was not impressed with it. However, it was the one I was going to recommend until I clicked on the link ;)

Look like the OP is going to have to swallow change and take the plunge.....

You're right I mis-read that link, how embarassing.

I can't see the OP's problem with the styling of the keypad, its just a keypad and works well.

Like you I would be stumped to recommend a different handset, unless you can still get the 6500classic.

I don't know about the 7500, but I'm very pleased with my 5130.

The 5130 is apparently targeted at people in developing countries and hence could be considered no-frills. I've read somewhere that it's #1 in india and #2 in Indonesia.

It has separate buttons on the keypad, no magic strips (which the N79 has and I don't like).

Finally, you can configure/rearrange the menus and define shortcut keys on the cursor ring around the main button and on the two buttons just below the screen. You don't have to use the frankly strange menus it comes with.
