Is the view meant to be any different from any other sex change?

I can quite happily say i'd not heard of "Chaz Bono" before reading this thread.

As there doesn't seem to be anything unique about this and it's just another case of sex change, then my view is; i don't care.

I would wonder why she would do this? Can understand the removal of breasts as they are so feminine but does a surgically made penis actually function?

When I saw the title of the thread I thought it was going to be about the U2 main man.:)

    No, it's completely uncaring.

A grown woman has decided to become a man.

What is there to care about? What's the issue?

I suppose for the purpose of having a slash it would probably work.;)

Not sure if it'd work for the other purpose though.;)

    Do you have comprehension issues?

How does "i don't care" ever equate to "i don't support it"?

How could i support or not support their decision when i don't know them or anything about them? Get a grip.

No, it could have important ramifications for the ongoing situation in the Middle East...

...oh, hang on a minute. "Sonny" and "Cher"? Ah, okay, sorry, I misheard.

Nah, couldn't really give a f*ck, other than to hope the surgery goes okay.

Let him/her whatever do what he/she likes.

    His/her life.

    Who cares?

If she's not doing anyone (and presumably herself lol) any harm then I say go for it! I just hope for her sake that she's completely sure in her decision.

    I don't care either.

I haven't heard of her and what she does will have no impact on my life.

Good luck to her if it makes her happy or happier. It's her life and I doubt it's a decision she made lightly.

(I'm aware I referred to Chaz as 'her' and 'she', before anyone gets pedantic).

That it's none of my business and as I don't know her personally I can't possibly have a view other than 'each to their own'...

I have the view that it's a good thing such intervention is available to *any* individual in need of it...

The results of a phalloplasty will work fine for urination so long as the urethra can be adequately lengthened and there are a few prosthesis options to create testes and enable penetration... It's not a 'perfect' or 'easy' operative choice though...
