Tonight I watched the Olympic torch arriving in Taunton Somerset on the Beeb live feed, where I was born and brought up.
Then bizarrely, Will.i.am appeared and ran with the torch for a mile (including a moonwalk).
Don't think he'd ever heard of Somerset, and the locals over 40 didn't have a clue who he was either.

If I was a local I would have been miffed.

I saw that on the news, why is he so desperate for attention and why was an American doing it?

I am sure Somerset could have supplied their own celeb, even if they had to ask Aaron from BB.

John Cleese must have been busy.

He has been trying to write a decent joke since 1979.

The Black-Eyed Peas were playing at the Olympic do last night at the County Cricket Ground, where my Dad used to work.

He has been stretching his sense of humour with wives since he split with Connie Booth.

I enjoyed films he was in, especially A Fish called Wanda.

That explains why he was around, but not why he ran with the torch.

It should have been a local IMO.

I could not imagine him being much good as a stand up comic, his skill is in writing scripts.
    Aussie MC anyone ?

Madame Suki has her own timetable, she will not eat at my convenience.

    4.15 good.

The daughter of an air force guy? A waste of prawns with all the rich stuff.

They put on her apron while still preparing.

I can see her as one of those that get into the final how many.
