Well despite Andy having an off-day, still think Dimtrov deserves huge credit here, his serve was brilliant throughout, the rest of his game stood up well. That tie-breaker was brilliant too, particularly after losing his BOS in that set.

Another star is born this Wimbledon, really does feel like a sea-change.

Strange performance from Andy. Not that he lost, but the manner of it. He seemed strangely disinterested.

If Novak gets through I think it will be a tougher contest.

The only plus side to this is the end of those awful BBC trailers, completely OTT and only suited to the trashy Sky Sports channel

Dreadful. Dimi didn't even play that well.
    Immaculate hair though. ;-) :kitty:

A Djokovic-Federer final is now the most likely, on paper at least

He'll never win another Grand Slam now...

Not now no. Maybe in a couple of months though........

    Well done to Dimitrov.
Andy Murray was never going to be in the same league as Nadal, Federer, Djokovic and all the top players that have gone before. He may still knock out the odd Grand Slam on a really good day but there are players as good or better than him nipping at his heels.

He's just been murdered out there. I don't think he had the upper hand once in that game. Whenever he was challenged he capitulated immediately. Totally dominated from start to finish. Even the crowd didn't seem to know how to respond.

England out of the World Cup too early...

and now Andy Murray, the defending champ, out of Wimbledon.

    Meh.

Andy. :( It's a shame, but it's hard enough to win Wimbledon let alone defend it.

Yes Andy was very passive and made enough mistakes of his own, but all credit has to go Grigor, fully in control of his own game. Shame we didn't get a little strip tease at the end, but I suppose he did have to show some decorum with royalty in town! :D

I don't think it was an off-day for Andy; I don't think he wanted to win at all. It seemed like a very calculated self-defeat. Maybe if he progressed, he would feel the pressure and expectation would be too hard for him after his performance last year?

Dimi produced the match of his life? I don't think so.

Bloody hell, first Sabine out and now this. :p

Although I do really like Grigor so I'm not to disappointed. Hope Nole makes it through, what a semi final that could be. :D

Pleased for Dimitrov cause I thought he could do something today. Thought it would take a lot more though. Still, great next step for his career.

That said Andy probably doesn't give a shite about England going out in the World Cup so I don't really put the two together!

I suppose it would've been strange if one player did it but not the other

They don't have to no but it's good etiquette.

He played well but he had to play far better against Dolgo.
