90.0% of Takeaway's & Deliveries are Halal

I'm flabbergasted at the amount of fast food places in the UK which are Halal only. This includes fried chicken, Pizza and now traditional English owned fish and chip shops which have been taken over by muslims and turned into Halal establishments and have now included kebabs in the premises.

Due to the inhumane treatment of animals, barbaric slaughtering methods, and the fact ONLY Asian muslims can work in a Halal Slaughter factory thus discriminating against any other nationality I refuse to buy Halal products. Surly other non muslim backgrounds must see a demand in many other towns/cities which show a high majority of people want to order from a takeaway but do not want Halal foods or food in general associated with religion.

I would urge anyone to go on the JustEat website put your own postcode in and see for yourself, just how many places in your village, town or city only serve Halal. You'll be quite amazed.

You refuse to buy all halal products? That must be a very limited diet!

...because fast food joints have traditionally had high animal welfare standards...

I don't care how the animal I'm eating was murdered or who murdered it, as long as it tastes good

If it offends you so much, don't bleeding well order from these places then.

90% Muslim? Says a lot to me; white and non-Muslim people must find it too hard working in and running such places. No one is stopping non-Muslims from opening takeaways and fast food outlets. So why aren't they?

Why? I don't eat halal, in fact I used to be vegetarian so to say that diet is limited is slightly ignorant

ONLY Asian muslims can work in a Halal Slaughter factory .

This must make things difficult in Arab countries.

You do realise that 90% of Halal meat in the Uk is from humanely killed animals don't you?

Well a vegetarian diet is, by definition, limited.

If you eat meat it's most likely impossible to avoid eating halal meat. That doesn't bother me at all, as I've said any number of times in these threads, but I would be in favour of clearer labelling.

How is it 'impossible' to avoid halal meat?

Ignorance is making grand declarations about not eating anything halal, without knowing what halal actually means...

Probably not completely impossible, but, given the lack of labelling, it's likely pretty difficult.

I'm not entirely convinced the OP expected the thread to turn out this way.

    Glad it did though.

So not only have those Muslims taken over our fish and chip shops, but now they've taken over our veggies too? >:(
