Just a usual Thursday (pay day) night then. :D

    You still have pay days?

I have not come across those for years.

Two weeks ago the might of the British establishment railed against the people of Scotland. Banks, corporate business, biased broadcast and print media and the elitist Westminster parties threatened and bullied us.

The very same establishment that tanked our economy, the same Royal Bank Of Scotland WE had to bail out. They threatened to leave, take jobs and hike up prices if we even dared vote Yes. Make no mistake they are endeavouring to corrupt our democratic right to vote Yes. They are the all powerful rulers, our masters. We are their slaves, prisoners of the fear and lies they peddle.

Today September 18 2014, is unique. Today the British establishment, that warmongering imperialist machine, stands powerless holding its breath. Because today, absolute sovereign power lies in the hands of the Scottish people. We have to decide, do we keep it, or do we give it all away?

Bypass fear, corruption, doubt, anger, hesitancy, and confusion Vote with your heart today . VOTE YES.

This would make a great political broadcast for the no campaign, comrade...

He will be well aware of the potentially career-threatening backlash, yet still expressed his view, when he didnt have to and nobody really expected him to. Went right up in my estimation

Well there will be plenty of blame relating to bias, scaremongering, vote rigging, deception, fear and all the rest to post first.

I hope the Rev is praying ;-)

Whatever happens after today, Salmond has split Scotland down the middle and opened a rift between Scotland and the rest of the UK. It will take a long while to heal if it ever does.

Hearing stories about intimidation taking place at some polling stations, a very sad day for democracy if it's true- whichever side is doing it.

    Rubbish..

I would disagree, I think that if you can't decide then the best option is to vote NO.

It is the only sensible thing to do.

We could do without more scaremonging, as that's not very likely to happen.

It's exactly what the more extreme UK hating Yessers here want to happen.

What a few extremists might want doesn't excuse scaremongering.

If it's a NO THMS will subject us all to a cut and paste orgy of tinfoil hat conspiracy stuff that MI5 and the BBC did to steal the election.

Once they have their yes vote they don't realise that the competing Yes factions will split apart leaving the SNP as the largest faction to dominate the rest.

They will be a bitter and disappointed socialist minority when the SNP deliver not one jot of their fairer society promises. It will be interesting to watch them infighting and realising they they have been conned by Salmond and Co.

And may the best man win.

I agree entirely, it is worrying in the long run regardless of the outcome.

I was thinking, say it's Yes tomorrow, and a couple months from now I go to get finance for a car, would I even be able to get the finance? If I'm paying back £20k over 4 or 5 years wouldn't the finance companies be hesitant in supplying me with a line of credit due to the uncertainty and inherent risk in iScotland? Same goes with getting a mortgage etc. I always thought there would be issues with regards to financial things like this, but until today I've never really thought of asking the question. Not a point for debate as such, just a quick question really :)

I've noticed this myself this morning when I cast my vote.

Just tell them you're voting YES, regardless of your real intent. It gets the YESSERs off your back if you please them with a false indication of support for their national suicide plan.

Possibly, but this is a far cry from what you were saying earlier about the danger of extreme left-wingers taking over in Scotland!

Just returned back from the polling station and they are using pencils, is this the norm? I took a pen anyway and used that, I hope my vote doesn't get discounted because I chose to use ink rather than led.

I was told it would be a wax pencil, so that it can't be rubbed out.

    Shouldn't be allowed. :(

And this is why the Secret Ballot was introduced all those years ago.

Sounds a bit like Tower Hamlets mark 2? I hope not, though.
