What is it with these old guys and their hair pieces? Do they really think we're convinced? At least Paul Daniels and Larry Hagman saw the light and ditched them.
I was watching Tony Blackburn on GMTV this morning and his wig is appalling and I thought Terry Wogan's was bad. :eek: Bruce Forsythe's is slightly more convincing but only just.
Any other showbiz wigs I've missed out? I saw a topic about Graham Norton but I don't think his hair is a wig.................is it?
Maybe it makes them feel better and is not about what you or others think.
Do I have to be either PC or American to state a fact ? what does it matter if someone chooses to wear a wig to feel better about themselves, no one comments on ladies doing the same.

Bob Mortimer does and it looks pretty good. He's not ashamed of taking it off for comedy purposes though (not his wotsit wig either ).
I think it's more a case of Bob wearing a wig for comic purposes as opposed to taking it off for comic purposes. He doesn't use one in day to day life.
It's amazing that someone like Tony Curtis, who made millions and millions of dollars from movies, should go out and buy a $10 toupee that doesn't even match his existing grey hair.
Marty has been wearing a rug for around 50 years, he was very young when he lost his hair.
I was watching Albert Finney on "Talking Pictures" yesterday, and I noticed that his luxuriant mop of hair is thicker than when he made his film debut in 1960.
It looked suspiciously healthy for a man of nearly 79, and I suspect that it is a very good, and (almost) undetectable rug.

Interesting thought! I googled pictures him after that and realised that throughout his career he's had very thick hair which could be considered of the rug-like variety.
Having said that, if you look at his actual hairline - when he sported various brushed-back styles - it seems consistent to me, even over many years. I'm giving Albert the benefit of any doubt.

Why do these wig and toupee wearers always go several shades lighter than their original hair color? Cliff had dark hair. Never red.
