New four part drama, showing over four consecutive nights.
Tells the story of four unconnected people who find their lives suddenly become entwined.
Each ep will focus on a different character - Olivia Coleman is the focus of episode 1. Spotted Jaime Winstone in the trailer here -

I've only seen the trailer, don't know anything about it, looks intriguing just from that, lots of 'quality' faces, but I'll watch for Coleman alone.
If she's called on to cry, I'll go like a busted water main.

Looks really good, I was wondering if this was ever going to be shown. I remember seeing this being advertised back in February and couldn't find anymore info on it.

This does look good so far.

I assume the reviewer on the RT website was being sarcastic..

"One of the most shocking aspects of the first in a self-consciously grim quartet of gritty, urban dramas is that the saintly Olivia Colman uses the c-word. I was shocked, I tell you, shocked."

Oh shock - Dodgy son kills good samaritan, mothers finds blooded clothes, mother realises dead man beaten by son I hope there is going to be a shock it's more predictable than Murder She Wrote at the moment.

I don't think it's supposed to be unpredictable, it's all about a mother's dilemma over her son. Good drama doesn't have to always have a twist. That would be predictable.

Well one of the members of the thieving branch of our family makes a tidy living getting phones via the back door of shops and selling them, they don't come up as stolen.
In the circles I used to move in, someone's always got a contact in a shop or warehouse for getting goods 'the other way' goes on all the time.

Depends how long you want to keep the job, whether you cane the ar$e out of it, or just give it a tickle.

Why do you think that's sarcastic? The reviewer is just saying it's shocking to hear her swear, given her wholesome, 'national treasure' image.

it was the extra "I tell you, shocked" that sounded a bit sarcastic.
