Destiny servers down (again)?

Settled down this afternoon to play an hours worth of Destiny. Got off to a good start - no updates! Whoo-hoo straight into the game for once! Didn't last long, as I got stuck in orbit, staring at a ''contacting destiny servers' message. I swear this is the most infuriating game I've ever played....
