Sorry, but in a pedantic mood - the post three above yours has Gary Weaver (on Sky 3D) - presumably there have been others on that channel.
If you are wanting to add 3D commentators, I'm sure Weaver is only one missing off that big list, who has done live commentaries in the PL. As 3D has had Weaver, Crocker, Mann, maybe Leslie too. that's about it I think.
Ah OK, Phil Wye, a producer on 5Live posts the comms each weekend, he must have been wrong!
Or maybe he's right and the BBC just aren't bothering sending two separate commentators to the same match? I cant understand it though, admittedly. Obviously that's the system they usually use for Monday night games, but I don't know why they wouldn't 'upgrade' things when they've specifically commissioned a special edition of Match Of The Day. Oh well.
Incidentally, fans of Cardiff, Manchester City, Tottenham or Swansea on these boards, how do you folks feel about having your highlights shunted from their own programme to an afterthought of United v Chelsea? I'm still not sure what's changed from when the BBC showed highlights of City v United on the Monday night 18 months ago without (as far as I recall) affecting their weekend highlights setup..
Simon Thomas was with Gary Johnson for Watford vs Forest - Leslie and Hinchcliffe comms
Why not Daniel Mann today?
Rather than give 2 games in a row for Leslie give one to Mann.
Sky just seem they don't want to change their routine and give some of their younger commentators a try or at least give Mann a bigger Sunday game.
You certainly cant say Sky haven't got depth in the commentators rank.
I suspect Murray will do 5 live if that's what Wye has said - seems a very big tv game for him anyway and no way the BBC aren't going to have a separate Tv commentator. Maybe Murray just wrote preview as 5 live comm and has been incorrectly labelled.
Spurs v Swansea- Jonathan Pearce
Cardiff v Man City- Steve Bower
Chivas USA v NY Red Bulls- John Roder
Fiorentina v Catania- Derek Rae
Burton v Fulham- Steve Wilson
Cardiff v Everton- Steve Wilson
I'm guessing both for TV but who knows? And yes, John Murray is almost certainly the radio commentator tonight, despite the misleading website caption, but imagine the excitement if he is doing it for TV. Multi-platform madness!

I think you can add Tony Jones to the 3D list too.

And yet again we join a match 30 minutes in with the game pretty much done and dusted.

Paul Dempsey presenting with Lorenzo Amuso, Julien Laurens & Raphael Honigstein
Commentators: Simon Brotherton & Stewart Robson
First I heard of him was last week when he commentated on the Toulouse v Bordeaux game and from what I've heard, a decent commentator.
He has been on BT already... He did Schalke v Hamburg on the 13th,
Summerton has done some betting & Uefa commentaries for a while, and I think (The Diff will know) does newsreading on Talksport.
Decent. Will see over time how will he will ultimately be!
Are you sure as John is on 5Live tomorrow?
