  Just quickly looking at that TV it only has 2 scart sockets and isn't HD ready. I'd just get a cheap one for now and wait until there's a few more CRT HDTVs available.

  i would recommend the panasonic 32 inch on ebuyer for £480, excllent tv at an excellent price.

  No CRT sets will be able to properly display HD pictures.None will even have the right connections for a downconverted picture from SkyHD.
  CRT is 625 lines.
  HD is many more

  I've seen HD in the states on CRT on larger screens than 36"...there was a noticable difference between that and the standard pictures running off dvd...so i'm wondering if there are CRT sets out there capable of playing HD that we dont have here...yet.

  Some Toshiba sets do have component video in so would be able to display downconverted video from skys HD boxes if they have component video out (which is what it should have according to an article in digitalspy).
  But personally I'd stick to a Sony crt for now, knowing that if I wanted a HD display I'd have to upgrade later.

  Most people browsing this forum are using a crt monitor capable of displaying considerably more than 625 lines.
  
  I still get annoyed when I see things like the philips set at bestbuy in the US for $799. 2x component inputs, hdmi and 720p/1080i compatible. Just another case of rip off britain i guess.
