my oh got herself an old piano about 4 years ago...as i was doing up the house it was stored outside, covered up. now ive dont the house theres nowhere for it and it would need alot of restoration that she cannot be arsed with now.
so we have to get rid... im looking for advice, i know i could drag it to a scrappies (its heavy) , but im looking for options... is it worth anything? or should i just let the gypos take it for scrap? or do piano restorers come and collect with their reward being spare parts or summut?
anyone?

You could end up with A Flat Minor.
:D budum tish
I agree with this. You could contact your local OXFAM branch to check if they do collect old furniture such as your piano. I did the same when I had a house clearance before selling the house some time ago.
Brainiac. Get a crane and drop it from a few hundred feet. Put remains into a bin.
Set fire to it, and roll it off a cliff into the sea.
You could always play it again, Sam...
If not, you can dismantle it. You will find that it's all wood apart from a very heavy cast metal frame. Your local metal recyclers will take that and give you money for it. There may also be a place to recycle the wood. If not save it and keep it dry until November the 5th.
I guess that depends on where you live because I left a wardrobe out the night before for the bin men and it was gone before they got here. Also at my mums house some workmen left the 30+ year old kitchen cabinets outside in broad daylight while they fitted the new ones. By the time they finished the old cabinets were gone and apparently nobody saw anything.
