Why is everyone assuming it's a female artist...the only reference to being female is that it will be a massive Beyonce-Esque exclusive, other than that it is a major artist. No mention whatsoever though that it is a female artist.
In that case, it almost definitely won't be Adele...
I'm hoping it's someone good though, like one of the pop divas (Gaga, Madonna etc.)

if it was gaga my world will simply light up with glory, there are one or two hints leading to her, the ''leak'' of brooklyn nights, and her releasing a new music video on saturday.

Beyonce was definitely not the first artist to release music midweek unannounced!
No but she is the first of the big popstar artists of today. It's usually chat shows, song on the radio, magazine covers etc leading up to an album release for modern day artists. As far as I know, she is the first out of that crop to do it. Would be funny if it was Beyonce again with a part two
- She's confirmed there's another album coming
- She's been very quiet up until last week with the whole 'vomit art' thing. A way of subtly pushing her back into the limelight?
- No third single confirmed from ARTPOP despite it being months since DWUW was released.
- She's been filming what appears to be multiple videos recently, which is odd considering she's not even announced a new single
- She's a big enough artist to pull this off
- She's just the type of artist who would try a different release strategy etc

It won't be Beyonce. My money's on it being Rihanna or the Gaga.
