Seriously, you hear the birds first, then it starts lightening, if you go to the local nightclub it ends at 3am, so in all honesty you are getting home in daylight.
It only happens here in June and July, but its bad enough, especially for me, I keep meaning to invest in blackout curtains. I used to have them when I was a teenager.
I live in Aberdeen and it is still dark (2.39am) so I don't know where you are getting that from. Time is says that in Aberdeen there won't be sun until 6.24.

Recently I've managed to get earlier to about 2.30, however I've seen me awake till 5am, dreading it now as the mornings are getting lighter.

Last summer it was awful for me . I wasnt getting to sleep until about 4.00am some nights .
I'm in Scotland, so its dark by about 11pm then getting light about 2.30am - and thats central Scotland, I'd hate to live further up!
