Why's she raising her arms like she just won the £40k and not just the chance of a measley grand? Does she really think all the 'lads in the kitchen who'll all be watching', will be proud of that? She's got an annoying laugh anyway.
To some people a grand is still a lot of money.
I look forward to seeing you go for the high offer next time you are on.
Yes, she did contribute to a make it a closer final. Was Richie (?) given a low offer?
When the first two went out and she didn't seem a strong player, I thought she might throw caution to the wind, almost hoping they'd all go out and she'd return with a better chance of taking home £1000 by nominating their best player. Can doing this deliberately ever be advantageous? I suppose only for weaker tail-end players.
Suppose the first three get knocked out, including a strong player, who gets eight thousand in the cashbuilder but goes for the high offer and loses.
The last player to go is a weak player who only gets two right. The offers are £50,000,£2,000 and £1,000. The correct strategy is obviously to go for the £50,000, even if you have almost no chance of getting home. There is no point in going for either of the two lower offers. As you say you are are better off getting knocked out than taking the lower offers because you know there is a better player on the team than you who will have a much higher chance of winning the £1,000 each.
Having said that it would probably not be the correct strategy in the head to head, when trying to get home with £50,000,to throw it and get eliminated on purpose, just so a better player on your team could play for a thousand each. If you did by some miracle fluke through and were playing for fifty grand on your own, even if,as a weak player, you had almost no chance to win,it would probably be worth it just for the thrill and the banter. After all even a two percent chance of winning £50,000 is still theoretically worth a thousand pounds. And few players, even pretty good ones, win on their own anyway. The Chasers are usually just too strong.
Take Me Out apparently. And she was also on Fifteen-to-One last year.
Thank you for that, I'm watching on +1 and it's been driving me nuts trying to remember where I've seen Lois before. I shall now go back and finish watching the programme, I somehow knew that DS would answer my question.

Ok, the Swiss cantons one was tough if you didn't know there were a lot but the Kate Bush one? It was one of the biggest music stories of last year.
No surprise there, it often happens

Two years above me in school were Dominic, Julie Hesmondhalgh and Mina Anwar. I was in classes with Dominic's brother, interestingly called Patrick.
Ta, quite a fair bit of acting talent there. Dominic did ok apart from that Costa question.
