You should only really feel old if you never played 'Pong' because you were too old to understand computers back then. :)

I can understand what that guy said about minecraft, children learn how to make stuff and gives them an idea of how to develop a sense of achievement.

Yes it is a shame there is no Final Fantasy.

Twitter isn't there as No1 though it is just the latest 'game'.

Did Final Fantasy really change the world though? Or indeed the gaming world?

    It did for me.

One of the first games I actually cared about the character and story.

It felt like being in a film, even more so than Dragon's Lair, or Tomb Raider.

I'm surprised Halo wasn't mentioned considering so many people love it.

I would say Football Manager/Championship would be a bigger game to change the world than those.

Sim City was kind of covered through a mixture of The Sims and Minecraft.

Metal Gear Sold and Final Fantasy is not really known outside the gaming world whereas Angry Birds is. That is why, if you read Charlie's interviews on this, is why one is chosen and one wasn't.

I think they had Doom as the FPS that changed the world, rather than Halo.

But did it really change the world for non-gamers or indeed for casual gamers. That was the point of the programme. Not, what is the best videogame.

Yes but I doubt 'The Last of Us' did that too.

I thought it was a good documentary. I wonder how many people who don't see themselves as gamers watched it?

No mention of Command and Conquer either, though Brooker did say in Gameswipe that he didn't like those type of games.

Just shows even a 90 minute show like this can't please everyone.

I think they used StarCraft instead of C&C for those types of games.

True - that part was when I thought they might name-check the series, but I didn't pick up on it if they did.

The best thing about C&C for me was the cut scenes.

The last half hour was utter rubbish, it was like they ran out of ideas.
