Mainly talking about terrestrial TV.
Child's Play and all it's sequals have never been shown on terrestrial TV in Britain.
Nor has Mulholland Drive. It's criminal.

Also, Night of the comet has only ever had one airing years ago.
This was on MGM HD not long ago
Because I recorded it on the PVR.
the george c scott, peter medak directed classic horror film from the 70s
I could be me missing it in the listings, but I can't recall it being shown on tv for years
There must be a rule of thumb?.

Child's Play 3 was on the following night at 11.10pm, also on ITV4.

Michael Winterbottom's film 9 SONGS
The Rodriguez/Tarantino film DEATHPROOF has been on Sky Movies but not PLANET TERROR
Good one. You'd be hard pressed to find a similarly inoffensive, major motion-picture that hasn't been on terrestrial TV or Sky.
The Child's Play films have been shown on Sky Movies, Film4, ITV4 and FX.
My point was they have never been shown on terrestrial TV.
(The 5 main channels)
It's like channels are happy to show them on digital as long as they aren't shown on terrestrial TV. Incase the tabloid media kick up a fuss. Which is ridiculous. If it's ok to show them on digital, then surely it's ok to show them on terrestrial.
The accusation that the murderers of Jamie Bulger had even seen any Child's Play film was later said to be a complete and utter lie on the part of certain tabloid papers.
Which one
I know Channel 4 in the UK have shown them a few times over the years
This has turned up on MGM HD last week.
FILM: Night of the Comet
On: MGM HD (313)
Date: Monday 5th September 2011 (Already shown)
Time: 07:25 to 09:05 (1 hour and 40 minutes long)
But there's no future airings showing up at the moment.
I can guarantee Child's Play 1 was shown on BBC on one occasion - I taped it off the channel in 1991.
I'm sure A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 has never been shown on any of the main 5 channels. Always found that strange as not only is considered the best of the franchise, but it was also a big financial hit.
For some reason, Rocky Balboa has yet to premiere on free TV. Neither has the Black Christmas remake.
For obvious reasons, a number of once unavailable iconic movies have yet to show up on terrestrial TV, or free TV at all: Cannibal Holocaust, Salo and Last House on the Left.
I bet they didn't mention that when the media were trying their best to brainwash us in to believing these films were 'evil' in the embarrassing "burn the video nasties" travesty.
It hasn't been shown on the 5 main channels since the media's lies.
I don't have HD. But no matter, we have the film on VHS somewhere, I think:o
