Going to be getting a few Norn Irish dates sorted out with this lot - so another one for Dodger to give a spin too and for TheTruth to hopefully see live ;-)

    http://aquatramp.bandcamp.com

Outside of the acoustic passages, bits of Clutch in there I think (only owning one Clutch album, I'm not too sure)

    I see you! :D *waves*

My little blonde head can be seen, bobbing up & down, on some of the live feed footage during Sabaton's Bloodstock set. I'm not linking to it though.

just had a 'discussion' with the missus as she was planning trip to the hairdressers on Wednesday(takes hours for some reason) telling her she can't as we are going to see Queens/Stone Age, she said it wasn't this Wednesday. So I got the tickets out of the drawer and waved them in her face (without looking at them first), she had such a smug look when it said 20th.......arghhhhhh I hate being wrong

I went to see Alice In Chains, Ghost and The Walking Papers last night. The Walking Papers were ok I guess bit formulaic perhaps but ok. Then we get to Ghost. Can someone please please explain the appeal of these guys to me? It's the second time I have seen them and I just don't get it at all, at all. They appear to have 1 song which they just play 7 times, and if it weren't for the silly masks and outfits I believe we would never ever have heard of them. If they were just 6 guys in jeans and t shirts no one would give a damn. A true case if ever there was one of style over substance. Anyway, Alice in Chains were amazing played plenty of tracks from Dirt which made me happy. They played Rotten Apple which Jerry nicely dedicated to Layne and Mike which I thought was a nice touch. So if you're seeng them later this week enjoy!

My feelings too. It's just all so contrived. If it wasn't for the outfits & mystery about who they are, they'd just be a Blue Oyster Cult tribute band. And they use recorded vocals, which is a complete 'no no' in my book.

I love all of their stuff, their last two albums are phenomenal.

I'm seeing them in Newport of Saturday, the fifth time I've seen them in the last four years! :D

Oh don't get me wrong I love all their stuff as well, their last album is an amazing return to form. I thought that black gives way to blue was a little patchy and disjointed in places, but the devil put dinosaurs here I think is a much more complete and consistent album. It's just that Dirt is probably in my top 3 albums of all time, it was such a cornerstone album from my youth that it holds such a special place in me. I even wore the label off the top of the cd on my first copy I played it so much! Anyway enjoy Saturday.

Sonisphere have confirmed that there will be a festival taking place at Knebworth next summer, but exactly what kind of festival that is is still uncertain.

“Keep the 4th-6th July 2014 free!” the official festival Twitter has noted. “Planning a festival to celebrate 40 years of Rock Music at Knebworth #Sonisphere”

A quick look at the Sonisphere website confirms that there is indeed a big event taking place, though curiously it doesn’t seem to be labelled under the Sonisphere banner.

So, will we see Sonisphere make its official returning after being cancelled last year and no-showing this year, or is this going to be a whole new event? We’ll just have to wait and see…

Iggy Pop, The Clash and Lars Ulrich set to rock Radio 6 Music for Christmas

BBC Radio 6 Music will be truly rocking around the Christmas tree this year with ‘godfather of punk’ Iggy Pop presenting two programmes, a very special interview with Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, plus Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of legendary band The Clash presenting their own show.

I've seen them a couple of times. They supported The Union in Bristol last night too.

Really, really, good night. The Union were on top form!!

I don't think this is being run as a Sonisphere Festival, so hopefully it will happen!!!

This was reported in the local newspaper earlier this year..... Knebworth looking to rock again for 40th anniversary
