Got my 5 iv froakie and honedge now so decided to breed ralts to get some synchronizers. (When used as slot 1 in the party wild pokemon have a 50% chance of having the same nature as the synchronizer)
The ralts has 4 ivs and the ditto im using has 3 so there's still a chance the hatchlings with un-needed natures will be usable when it comes to breeding a 5 iv ralts further down the line.
Anyway less than 10 eggs in and a blue ralts hatches, shiny #4. Timid nature so it's workable. Go and check the ivs and it has perfect hp and defence but the woman goes and ruins it by saying its sp.atk stat is 0 :mad:
Until this gen I didn't have a clue either, since I hadn't played since gold/silver/crystal but I've got a basic understanding of how it works and how to breed.
I was going to write out what natures, evs and ivs mean but it'd be easier to give a link to the site that helped me figure it all out :P

Yeah, I got a technician Breloom from your safari Bred it. almost perfect IV's, helped me get a 55 streak in the battle maison as well as some online wins

Another productive day breeding adds a perfect charmander with flareblitz + outrage and a perfect bulbasaur with mega drain and leafstorm to my 5iv pile.
Got extremely lucky both times, I was breeding male and female charmanders (after breeding for flareblitz+outrage egg moves) and neither of them had perfect speed and one of the babies was born with the 4 ivs I was breeding with a bonus of added speed saving me a couple of generations of breeding.
Now into generation 2 of bulbasaurs, luckily enough I got a baby with mega drain and leafstorm + perfect hp and sp.atk via wonder trade so didn't have to breed for the moves and skipped a gen as he already had workable ivs. Breeding male bulba with ditto and I got a perfect 5 iv baby before I managed to get a female. So odds were on my side again.
I wanted bullet seed on it, so I got a female and bred it with an exeggcute, then once it had the egg move I wanted, I bred with other Breloom until it had good IV's.
If you only have a male with its hidden ability, you have to breed with a ditto to pass down it's hidden ability. It's not certain to pass it down, but it's quite a high chance, so just breed with a ditto until you get a female, then breed that to get the egg move you want.
Just managed to breed a perfect 6 IV elekid.Nerve racking moments seeing if that chap in Kiloude City tells you if you have that 6th perfect stat. Skating up a down Route 7 hatching eggs can get a bit boring.
Just a thought, perhaps we should organise a time one night this week to all meet up online and grab that 3rd Pokemon from the safaris we are still missing?

Congrats, I haven't managed a completely perfect pokemon yet but I usually don't need Attack or Special Attack in mine so I don't bother working on them too. Still takes ages to get the five stats perfect.
So I'm at the Pokemon league and not ready to face the final challenge just yet, but I need more cash. Are there any trainers I can go back to for a fund top up or do I have to get through the elite four?
You can go back to the Battle Maison on the road with the Day Care Center. They tend to give quite a lot of money especially with the Amulet Coin. You don't get much for experience in there at first but the more you battle there the harder they can get and one or two people can turn up there with Audinos which give you lots of experience.
