    Dances with Wolves 8/10

This is one of those films that I had nothing against but just didn't get around to watching until now.

    Very good.

    Wolf of Wall Street

I had been looking forward to seeing this, and I thought it was a good story of power and greed ... and boy does Leonardo know how to act ? He was fabulous. But, I am going to mark it down for the amount of nakedness there is. I am a woman and I am used to seeing bare boobs in practically every film I watch, but this film had soooo much nakedness that I got irritated by it. BUT - not a single willy, all fanny and boobs. I hate inequality, so for that I will give it *drum roll*

    6/10.

Half Nelson. Highly rate this and Ryan Gosling's performance is first class. Think this has snuck into my all-time top 20. 9/10

    X-Men (latest one)

Quite dissapointed, wasted opportunity to make a great film.

    6/10

I tried to watch this, thought it started pretty well with the battle and then wheel-chair man arrived in a flying wheel-chair!! ( i thought he died?? ) some completely incomprehensible gobbledygook from a bunch of characters, i aged about a month in 2 minutes and then exited. 6/10 very generous imo.

    5/10

Disney's version features a wet D'Artagnan (Chris O'Donnell) and a gloriously dastardly Richelieu (Tim Curry).

    Twisted Seduction 8/10

It sounds like the title of a soft-porn film, but it's not :D

"Genius British guy kidnaps a woman and is convinced that by following certain psychological steps and well planned charm, her brain will have no choice but to trigger feelings of love towards him."

This is an independent film made with $30k of the English lead actor (Tom Broadwell) and director/writer's (Dominique Adams) money. It's set in Montreal, co-starring Francesca Besson.

It's really worth a watch even if you don't like the description, it's well done and has a fantastic double twist ending. You can watch it on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QUwSlqKsak

    Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm watching some spooky films since tis the season.

The House at the End of the Street - 6/10. Max Theiriot is beautiful. Film had a few good scares.

The Amityville Horror - 5/10. Thought it started really well then got too crazy and silly to be scary.

Carrie - 7/10. The remake. Juliane Moore was crazy good in it, however the last 10 minutes or so were a bit dumb.

Plaza Suite [1971]. Director: Arthur Hiller

    5/10

Very much a filmed play. The cast is excellent (Walter Matthau in 3 not dissimilar roles) but it's nearly all talk and the middle segment drags a bit.

    The Boston Strangler

Interesting, well observed, but not altogether successful true crime drama. I liked how the split screen trickery possibly alluded to the fractured mind of the title character, but the film never quite grips (ho ho) as much as it perhaps should've. Still, dir. Richard Fleischer later returned to the fray with the excellent 10 Rillington Place, and Tony Curtis, in the title role, is alarmingly good. 7/10

    Knight and Day

Okay-ish popcorn action comedy with Cruise and Diaz - both deserving of better - trying their best with woefully underwritten roles and an overlong script. Has its moments (some impressive stuntwork) but it's no Mr and Mrs Smith beater. 5.5/10

Enjoyably silly. Great role for Jim Carrey though. Didn't even recognise him at first.

    Ken Park

I know it's a Larry Clark film but I was frustrated at the complete lack of any plot and even as a snapshot into the lives of a handful of dysfunctional teenagers' lives it was dull and pointless and had nothing to say.
