    This is a shame, Dermot was such as great host. Will be interesting to see who takes his place.

    I wonder if they will offer the job to Ant and Dec.. :)

    Shame, as I like Dermot.

    I have no idea who they might get to replace him though. Nick Grimshaw, maybe?

    If they're being serious about shaking up the show, I wonder if Louis (and maybe Cheryl) will go too? I am starting to wonder if the rumours of either Olly or Louis Tomlinson being a judge might have some truth in it. It would be the first time an ex-contestant is a judge (I'm not including Cheryl because she was on popstars).

    I hope Dermot does Strictly.

    Caroline Flack was on Celebrity Juice last week and said that she had just landed a new job but couldn't talk about it yet...

    Nah, I don't think Ant and Dec would do XF because it's similar to BGT. Also, I get the impression they quite like doing I'm a Celeb...

    Letting Dermot go is an awful decision, it took them a very long time to get a decent host for the USA version and even longer for a host of the Xtra Factor.

    Although I stopped watching the show five years ago, you have got to give Dermot credit for staying with the show all this time.

    I do know that not too long ago, he did say he wasn't entirely sure if he wanted to return this year. I wonder who they will get, but I can imagine they might bring in Olly Murs as a judge.

    I agree that Dermot wasn't the problem... but maybe he wanted to move on.

    I really hope Sarah Jane doesn't get promoted to the main show though.

    Slightly off topic, but whilst we're talking about a shake up. I know this might sound mad - but I quite like the idea of Louis Walsh becoming the Xtra factor host and stepping down as judge. :D

    I'll miss Dermot, i've just seen an article that has a poll in, and over 80% will miss him too.

    Wonder why they axed him... If he's so popular.
