transferring songs between iTunes accounts

HI, i used to be able to just drag songs on one iTunes acc to another on the same home network. With home sharing set up. these songs where cd's and vinyl loaded into it. But now for some reason I ca't do it. Has iTunes been upgraded to stop this or am I just being dumb. Any help would be great, Thanks.
