Not really impressed with the launch titles....maybe I will buy one later....I was really looking forward to it but it just does not impress me. Not played on my Wii since I moved in May, may now just get that out and use that instead. My PS3 gets almost daily use one way or another. If it had the TV feature that the US will get then maybe it would be a better option.
Anyone else cancelled there pre-orders?

No console in history has had an incredible launch line up, so no i won't be cancelling my Pre order because of it
You never know i might love super mario and ZombieU should be an impressive show case of the WiiU features if not an impressive game
The wait for the two launch titles i wanted but got delayed isn't that long either, with both Ninja Gaiden and Rayman out early next year
But as a console, I really love the look of it and its capabilities, and I will be getting one in the future.
I think the launch line up is strong enough to be honest. I have a couple of game's I'll be getting at launch:
> Nintendo Land (Pack-In)
> New Super Mario Bros U
> Trine 2: Directors Cut
> Zombi U
> Scribblenauts Unlimited [I've never played Scribblenauts before, but this looks really cool]
I'll try and get more in the new year, i.e: Wii Fit U, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Lego City Undercover and Pikmin 3
I'm looking forward to the Batman game and Assasins Creed the most, not too fussed about Zombie U at the moment.
I personaly cannot wait to get a WiiU, but just need to hang tight until funds allow.
That's been delayed until next year.
Nintendoland as part of the bundle, New Super Mario Bros U and Zombi U are the games ordered for now...plus the pro controller.
Will also download some games from e-shop.
No, it's not an 8GB update. The system is preloaded with a 4GB firmware, but if you want to update to the current system which allows Miiverse, Internet Browser and Video Chat, it requires another 1GB, bringing it to a total of 5GB.
Don't know where you've been reading, but that 8GB download was infact reported at the time to be 5GB which has since been confirmed to be around 1GB.
Also its been confirmed it will download in the background if you select the Cancel option when asked to install update.

Please tell me that is not stored on the 8GB you get to use...
I think so, however you can expand using external harddrives via the USB ports. The SD slot is only for expanding the Wii memory.
For an extra £50 though, it seems worth it to upgrade to the 32GB model cos on top of that, you get a game that is worth £40...
Sainsbury's are now in the middle of processing my order, and the money's been deducted from my account. Part of me would like to think it would come on Thursday, maybe, but I don't want to get my hopes up
But games can be stored on external hard drives; from what I understand, as long as it's a low-power drive OR has its own power supply, it should be just fine. You get get a 1TB one for around £50-60 these days; a little more expensive than a couple of years ago, but bear in mind last year they cost nearly £200 due to Asian floods. Prices have slowly fallen again thankfully.
Alternatively, you can use a USB Y-cable (uses up 2 USB ports) to provide the hard drive with twice the power (1 Amp) which would cover basically any portable hard drive.
Now THAT is service.
