A while ago I posted a question about whether people thought it was a good idea and some said go for it so I did,

As there was a 3 day free trial (match.com)I thought Ive got nothing to lose and actually met a couple of decent guys im exchanging emails with.

HOWEVER, I cancelled within the trial period so no money would be taken (i had read the terms and conditions carefully to see how much notice etc) I filled in the questionnaire about why I was cancelling and it confirmed on the screen that it had been cancelled ( although I received no email). Well since then they have taken the monthly payment out my account plus other random small charges!!

I emailed their customer services explaining and they said you musnt have completed the process and answered all the questions ( I did) then I realise this is not the answer you want to hear but theres nothing we can do. i think im gonna have to change my bank account over to stop them taking out money every month.

A while ago I was watching bbc watchdog and I saw some people had similar trouble with a dvd rental company in that they just made it impossible to cancel and would continually say there cancellation hadnt gone through
