I agree with the op. The way it tied that girl to the railway tracks whilst twirling it's moustache and evilly laughing. Truly diabolic.

Always the same when big sports events are on, plenty of other things to do though.

At least it's better than having just 5 channels. With 3 full of sport.

I couldn't live without my Tivo box and haven't watched any regular television (or seen an advert) for two years.

    Try it OP. :D

Spare a moment to think of us sports fans who are trying to watch 3 or 4 different events at the same time. How would soap addicts like it if all of the soaps were shown simultaneously on different channels?

People use catch up services or PVR.

Those are fine for most things (including soaps) but sport really does have to be watched live. I love my Tivo too but I'm not going to record the England match and then watch it a few days later.

Or even worse, think back to 1966 when all available TV channels were showing the same football match at the same time.

Sport is the only reason to have live TV.

Everything else can either be watched on catch up or downloaded from P2P.

Agreed. I don't notice it as much in the evening, as I don't really watch the soaps, but I miss the afternoon quizzes.

Don't tell me the result. I recorded it but haven't found time to watch it yet ;-)

Sport and news. I can't think of anything else I watch live.

    I never watch the news.

After being close to a couple of news stories I know that what you see on TV or read in the newspapers is usually a complete distortion. The news is all about drama and agendas not facts.

Trouble with the News is that you've always heard it all before! :-)

Well when you do find out let me know as I have no idea what the score was either. :)

On second thoughts don't bother, there's some paint I have to watch dry that is far more interesting... :D

I assume you've watched every episode of everything on every available channel to come to this conclusion then or I might not even grant your premise :p

I'd suggest it's not "the worst week" there'll be worse to come. It's Summer.

It's always bad at this time of the year, as a lot of series on the newer digital channels are coming to an end or have already ceased. The problem will be quite apparent to anyone not interested in tennis or football, as it highlights the alternative options on BBC and ITV.
