Just turned if off during chapter 4, I'll probably get there tomorrow
Also anyone else turned the difficulty down, I struggled slightly because of a lack of ammo against the guy with a chainsaw, I did it after several tries but I turned the difficulty down at the start of the next chapter for the sake of enjoying the story and setting over the challenge and frustration that would surely come

I started on casual, and am still getting minced, just got to chapter 3.
It sort of gets easier. There are major difficulty spikes still. Defuse every bomb you see, break every barrel/box/vase. If you can't pick up ammo, make sure your weapon is fully loaded, if not load it, then you can max your stock. Upgrade running away!
Only played the first chapter because the install took bloody ages, but I went from "yikes this seems bad" to being curiously intrigued after the encounter with chainsaw guy. Graphically there are some real issues with textures popping in, screen tearing and frame drops, the story and characters already feel like the very worst cuttings from some generic animé editing room, I haven't even gotten to handle a gun yet...but still, there might be something here.
oh come on this really is just Resident Evil 4, the enemies even have some kind of parasite in their brains at the end
About to start chapter 6 with MC Satan previously mentioned I should wait for, I've got a feeling this will either compound that its an RE game or will take it off in a brand new direction
Download and install that, then check for updates to get The Evil Withins (bottom left), then just select it from the list of plugins on the left, once it loads in, just minimise it and start the game
After the run in with that dude with a chainsaw, my upgrades with be focused on the ability to sprint for longer, also comes in handy if you have nothing to defend with, once they lose line of sight they give up the chase pretty quickly. Live to fight another day.
Fantastic game so far, shame the graphics are poor, take nothing from the core game play though.
Uh not quite, no. I personally don't give a crap about having shiny graphics, but I do at least expect them to be technically up to snuff, which they are not in this game. It's not a case of "oh...he doesn't look as realistic or move as fluidly as Nathan Drake does", but instead "jesus this screen tearing is bad....what is that thing? Oh now I see what is is because the textures finally loaded. Hoo boy is this drop in framerate noticeable".
I haven't got very far, but I really like this.
It seems the game is a combination of Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil Remake, Resident Evil 4, Silent Hill 2, Metal Gear Solid 2 and The Last of Us.
Nice to have a sole Single Player game nowadays without the BS multi-player bogging everything down. I've even signed up for the 'Season Pass' I liked the first few chapters so much!

Wait until chapter 6!
Resi 4. Melee is a bit shonky though.

Its a great game, especially if you liked the first few Resi Evils.

To be fair, if you're the kind of person who couldn't give a crap about having shiny graphics (like me) then you won't notice them.
The graphics haven't once distracted/irritated me yet.
Same, graphics are fine to me, im enjoying it.
