Angel In The North is actually the first decent effort the series has produced - well-written (Bob Baker returns to the fold), well-directed, decent performances and even given a feature-film vibe, right down to repositioning the credits in a more movie-like way.
Only took 23 episodes (although 20 and 21 have been omitted from the FIVE run, anyone know why?) to get there.
