My daughter liked it and I did too. Was the boat called Ragdoll?
Ragdoll was the company that made it along with the Telly Tubbies and other kids shows. The BBC bought the company and made most its employees redundant.

Thankyou
A shame about the redundancies - there must have been some good peple making those programmes.
There was something about this show that really used to creep me out when I was a kid; so much so that even just hearing the music would send me running out the room. As an adult I still don't know why I was so scared. I even had to think twice before opening this thread.

They also did In the Night Garden, my grandkids loved that and so did I because they put in some jokes for adults.
Yes the boat was called 'The Ragdoll', it was at a boat rally I went to once.
My daughter loved Rosie and Jim, we still have a video somewhere.......I was Ok watching the ones with Fizzgog (the writer) but that woman Pat.......OMG she drove me mad were her apathetic voice. If youre doing a voice over for kids TV at least sound interesting!!!
Loved this show. I can remember crying because we had to go out.
I remember tots tv.
I cannot remember the whole tune to tots tv.
I'm a tot, she's a tot, tilly tom and tiny.
We're the tots of tots tv, un deux, trois.

Wasn't the first ones a woman
It was the old man who wrote the stories first.
Then the woman who painted
And then a youngish man who played the harmonica
Chugging along on the old Ragdoll
Rosie and Jim, Rosie and Jim,
And John he steers the boat !
My two boys loved this programme !
My children loved it too, and I thought it was quite appealing. Didn't Pat take over from John?

I find them far scarier looking now than I did as a child :D
The old man was John Cunliffe who also wrote Postman Pat.
The first episode of Rosie and Jim cheekily had some Postman Pat books on the Ragdoll!
