Alarm goes off at 6.45am, drag myself out of bed at 7.10 and realise yet again that I only have half hour to get ready and leave the house.

I still have to organise my lunch, feed the cats and decide what to wear so I invariably leave the house sprinting for the train:rolleyes:

the 2 days my daughter goes to nursery:
    alarm set for 7.20
    stay in bed till 7.30
get my daughter and and dress her give her her breakfast then get ready myself while shes eating it
8.15 - 8.30 leave to walk her there (20 mins there, 20 mins back)

    the other days:
i just get up when she wakes me up which is usually pretty early.

Wake up....look at the clock....it's only 10 to 9 .... turn over, go back to sleep for another half hour.

It's one of the true joys of being retired!

1st alarm goes off at 7am.
2nd alarm goes off at 7.20am.
Realise I've only been asleep for about 2 hours and think of ways I can get out of going to work.
Come to the sad realisation I can't get out of going to work and get angry because getting out of bed is pure torture :(

    :D

    I wake up.

Over the years I learnt that it was best to set the alarm at the time you wanted to get up and just get up. The see no point in all these snooze buttons. Far better to have good undisturbed sleep untill the time when you actually want to get up.

If you knock on your head with your knuckles the number of times that corresponds with the hour you want to wake up you will wake up at that very time.

So an alarm clock is a waste of money people

Rise just before dawn. Fly to village. Drink blood of unsuspecting and surprisingly compliant attractive wench. Fly back. Deep sleep.

    Alarm goes off
    Carry on sleeping
    Alarm goes off
    Carry on sleeping
    Alarm goes off
Turn it off, go back to sleep.

    40 minutes later.

Mom comes in, tells me the bus is coming in 20 minutes.

    Jump up
    Breakfast
    Wash
    Brush teeth
    Dressed
    Bag packed
    Hair straightened
    Make-up done
    Grab my bag
Realize I've lost my bus pass
Spend 4 of remaining 5 minutes searching for bus pass
Find bus pass in the pocket I checked 4 minutes ago in the first place
    Run for the bus.

Work days - Wake up almost every hour or 2 until alarm goes off at 5.15am, groan.
    Go for a wee
    Straighten my hair
    Put on make up
    Get dressed
Go downstairs, have a **** (and coffee if i have time)
    Brush my teeth
Have another **** if i still have time.
Put my shoes on and set off for the bus stop.

Day off - Wake up at 9ish or when my niece wakes me
    Go for a wee
Get her up and go make her brekkie
