What do previous contestants do when the "process" is over?

Surely they cannot go back to Civvy Street?
And let's face it, someone like Daniel is not going to go in to showbiz either. So what's next for him and the others?
Even previous winners like Stella. She quit, but what on earth would she do now?
Are we supposed to believe they all go back to being self-employed and forget The Apprentice ever happened?

Yes. What else do you think they do?!
The publicity works well for some, either for trying to launch their business ideas or heading towards the verges of show business.
Stella would probably struggle to get a meaningful job as a permanent employee with a company now but she could offer her skills on contract basis.
Contestants from Big Brother won't ever work again. Don't see what's so different with modern Apprentice series tbh.
I guess they can continue to be entrepreneurs by themselves, but then what good did they think getting on the Apprentice would do them?
They don't want to work for Sugar for long, so what's the point? Just to get in the headlines?
In almost every series the majority of candidates have been employees of a company rather than self-employed. And as the series is always filmed more than six months before the TV airing, of course the majority of fired candidates will have gone back to their existing careers - as nobody will have had a clue who they are until the series eventually airs. Do you think they just sit on their arse for six months until the programme is shown, waiting for fame and fortune to eventually come knocking? Apart from maybe the ones who reach the interview stage, the majority will be forgotten by most people within twelve months (or less).
Anyway, they were contacted directly the morning after the show aired and offered a management position on nearly double what they were earning before the show.
So, providing you show some business attributes on there, it can prove to be a good shop window.
Most of them do get back into work. Not many go back to the same job they had before, but some do. It seems most of them set up their own businesses. There are also quite a few whose job is now "Motivational speaker" E.g. Alex Wotherspoon and Adam Corbally.
Roisin / Bianca / Mark / Lauren will get job offers from showing good business skills
Think I'd prefer to be 'motivated' by David Mellor!
There's more to see if you go to Linkedin
There's quite a few who work in business education areas, and some who work, as you said, as public speakers.
The most successful people though aremostly those who went off into corporate or media work. the highflyers he rejected tend to fly high .
Have a look at Claire Young http://uk.linkedin.com/in/claireyoung78 , Yasmina,http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/yasmina-siadatan/14/b48/706?trk=pub-pbmap Tim http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/tim-campbell/16/41a/626 or Liz Locke http://uk.linkedin.com/in/llocke , Kate Walsh http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/kate-walsh/49/843/576 and Helen Milligan https://www.linkedin.com/pub/helen-milligan/31/714/698?trk=pub-pbmap . Phil is interesting https://www.linkedin.com/pub/philip-taylor/29/81b/654?trk=pub-pbmap
There's also Tre http://uk.linkedin.com/in/treazam, or Jim http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/jim-eastwood/32/a4b/9a3
The young apprentices are also interesting - look at James https://www.linkedin.com/pub/james-mccullagh/44/82b/981?trk=pub-pbmap :)or David https://www.linkedin.com/pub/david-odhiambo/60/9b4/59a?trk=pub-pbmap
Relatively people of the people who last in their series do anything as entrepreneurs. The young apprentices have mostly gone off into the corporate field, or are at Russell Group Universities.......
