Same songs played on tv and radio for the last ten years

How come every time i watch telly or turn on the radio i hear the same songs all the time. I'm sure it didnt happen years ago. No wonder the same songs keep entering the charts.
Use somebody. Sex on fire , etc ,etc.
Plus Gary Barlows latest is never off ..argghhh....dont know how ppl listen to the radio these days. Bring back the punk explosion or something drastic to clear all this mor away

    I used to always think that Robbie Williams' 'Angels' was never off the music channels.

    I made a U-turn before entering a pub because yet another covers duo was playing bloody Sex On Fire. It's as if all these bands are limited to a repertoire of the same twenty songs. Nothing is more guaranteed to put me in a bad mood more than hearing that sodding "Oh Sit Down" by James song yet again.

    Sorry to go off on a tangent, but I'm sure there's a parallel somewhere.

    Destiny's Child - Independent Women seems to be on at least once a day on music channels. I like them, but it's a bit overkill.
