What was wrong with the sound tonight?

My enjoyment tonight was spoiled by the echoey, distant sound for both the speech and the music. The fact that it is a bigger area should not make any difference, as the engineers have always always been able to reduce the echo on previous occasions. It sounded if the orchestra's microphones were at the opposite end of the hall. Let's face it, if the BBC can eliminate echo from the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, they could certainly do it at the Tower Ballroom.

There was problems with the judges mikes last week as well, particularly Alesha's if I remember right.

I realise that - but it hasn't happened on previous occasions.

It does though, from show to show. Just a mishap which is going to happen occasionally, which is ok as long as it doesn't effect the show too much?
