This has now got me thinking. (Invariably a bad sign, but I'll carry on anyway).

I wonder if there is some sort of editorial policy by which actors are expected to use caribbean type accents - and it just happened that the (Jack Parrot) actor was not very good at it so they let him use his natural one. Or, there is no policy anyway and actors just use whatever accent they want, and most choose a Caribbean one because it fits in, and/or to show that they can.

I wonder if it's something along the lines of, "If you can, go for it, if you can't, we'll just have to work round it." Have to admit, I didn't find Paul Barber's normal accent that incongruous - in some ways it was better than listening to someone going too far the other way in an attempt to 'do' a Caribbean accent! But then, I'm happy to let the whole thing wash over me and just enjoy some TV suitable for us all to watch as a family after we've all had a stressful day at work - I'm not one of life's 'plothole worriers'! :)

    Can someone help my memory.

Has every single crime this series involved the murder not taking place at the time when it first appeared to have happened? Was this the case in previous series?

S3E1 - Richard murdered by Sasha and corroborated by her husband - YES
S3E2 - actress/ stunt double - effectively dies in real time and it's more about the deception - NO
S3E3 - escort and the arty one killed by the art dealer and he lies to make it sound like he called for help - YES
S3E4- air hostess one - lots of back and forth with times so probably YES

    Wow!

That was a lot more help for my memory than I was expecting :)

Now I'm testing my memory just remembering all the episodes you described. Lots of very good memories, and a few I'm struggling to recall.

    1000 thanks!

Paul Barber's one of those actors that I can never understand how he made it as far as tv. His diction isn't great and he just seems to repeat a script, being the same person every time I've seen him.

Couldn't believe Camille uttering the words 'he signed his own death warrant.' Original British Drama? In 2014? Really???

Nevertheless it's generally still a pleasant enough way to spend an hour.

Hardly noticed Camille this week tbh. May have been something to do with Yasmine, played by the stunning Hannah John-Kamen:)

Is the personal assistant from the deceased the police captain from Engrenages (Spirals)?

They killed Geoffrey the Butler, the bastards. Surely the doctor from Holby could have saved him?

I think that Joseph is the same actor who played the Bolshie Rasta in the episode where Richard doesn't make the call to go to London ...

OH and I got the method of the killing spot on, but not the killer. Thought it had to be the Spiral lady.

And yes, please do not go back to your wife! (Never thought I would ever say that!)
Once she has dumped you, the chances are she will dump you again.

They relied on viewers not knowing what would have really happened if a shotgun had been used to fire the bullet.
For a kick-off at that range there would be far more blast damage to his chest from a shotgun round and there would have been clear evidence in the wound in the body from whatever in which the bullet had been wrapped.

All this can be forgiven as Camille's shorts were back.

I wasn't alone in thinking it obvious she would turn up, but think I was first though.

No Harry though this week, noooooooooo!.....:(

Got the right guy but the method completly wrong.

Just as Humphrey finally looks at Camille's shorts, the wife turns up!

That bit with the exercise machine was so telegraphed, it wasn't funny.

With all of the team on that island, was the commisionner taking the calls? :)

So I carefully avoid watching the trailer for Next Week and find you lot are all talking about it. Surely that's what Spoilers are for?
