I think this is Attempt #4, now.
The last one I did was fun and all, but it was too 'simplistic' - this one will go back to the roots of the old series, and rightly so.
It will also go back to the old voting format that I used in Series 1, instead of the one I used in my last attempt.
I'll announce the cast over the course of next week, and the first live show will be on Saturday.
(this will finish.)

The drama began when, a mere three days after the cast was announced, a nerve-ridden Danielle Lineker pulled out of the line-up, stating personal issues, and was replaced by Atomic Kitten member, Jenny Frost.
Also joining the panel this year was Spice Girls member, Mel B. Mel promised she would sharpen her tongue when judging the contestants, and that she did. Although, she scored Ben Cohen the first nine of the series in the debut week, and put him to the top of the leaderboard with newcomer Jenny Frost. Fern Britton was at the bottom of the leaderboard - with Johnny Ball, Christopher Biggins and Gyles Brandreth, in a tradition soon to be known as the 'Bad Bs'. Gyles was in the first bottom two, with footballer Jason Cundy, but was kept safe as the latter left.
In the second week, Elizabeth Hurley had her breakthrough, Bruno said Fern Britton was 'as bland as a Lemar song', and Len somehow promised to burlesque dance with Ann Widdecombe. Dani Harmer surprisingly found herself in the bottom two, but survived over Cerys Matthews, who left.
In week three, Ola got angry with Len over a 5 paddle, Mel scored Ben with the series' first 10, and Fern got into a temper, throwing her mic pack on the floor and screaming 'farce'! Oh yes, and Len & Ann burlesqued. But with Dani in the bottom two again, she was surprisingly against Reggie Yates, who left in the third week - just like DJ Spoony. Hmm..
In week four, Fern went off like a flash, Kelly became a Dreamgirl for the night, and Dani matured with her first nine. And when it came down to a bottom two of Christopher Biggins and Elizabeth Hurley, you'd think it'd be obvious who stayed. But it was Biggins, as Elizabeth Hurley left in week four (which funnily enough, really peed off James).
Week five was duel week for the first time in Strictly history. Len made Jenny safe over Kelly, as well as Christopher over (an angered) Fern, and a 10 saved Ben over Jodie. But this was to be Len's last appearance of the series - as he famously left the show, and didn't return, over a pay row! Shirley Ballas was chosen as his replacement. Week 6 finally saw the end of Tony Discipline, who admitted he was disappointed but happy with his improvement.
In week six, Johnny Ball took on Las Ketchup, Kelly scored her first two tens, Craig gave Biggins a 7 and Fern performed a Cuban classic!....and bombed it. Jodie Prenger won the first Mambo marathon also! But in the shock double elimination, Dani Harmer and Jenny Frost left - which left the judges in shock, as Jenny was one of the main frontrunners at this point.
When we got to the seventh week, Christopher Biggins did his Charleston and scored 30. Yes, 30. And Ben Cohen scored the first 40 of the series - to Erin's shock! In the first dance-off, where couples could repeat one of their old dances, Fern Britton managed to beat Johnny Ball for a spot, as he left in 7th. Finally, in the group dance, Jodie was lumbered - I mean, grouped - with Gyles and Christopher, and they lost to Ben and Kelly's team by 7 points! Christopher, however, left in sixth place.
Now kids, before there was Louis Smith's Dirty Dancing Salsa, there was Fern Britton's. All I'll say is that she ended up in the dance-off with Gyles Brandreth and left, but refused the ITT interview on Monday..
The remaining couples did instant dances for a place in the final. Kelly Rowland got the top score and was granted a safe spot in the finals. But Jodie and Gyles were in the bottom two, and Gyles left, in fourth place, marking the end of the Bad B's.
Finally, it was the final (hence, the finally bit? Get it? Hehe.) All couples brought their A-game, but it was Kelly Rowland who left in third place, followed by Ben Cohen in a silver medal spot, and Jodie Prenger & Robin Windsor becoming champions!
So that's the story of Series 1. Series 2 coming soon!

Oh and Jackie xD
The Sky Sports presenter, 35, was in training for the launch routine tonight when she tore a hamstring - an injury which has taken her out for the long run.
Her replacement has been thrown into training soon - and according to sources, has 'got used to the routine well'.
Got some news for y'all....xx
