As the title says I want to visit Bethnal Green in August on a Saturday but I have a rather limited budget. I've searched Travel Lodge and Premier Inn but they are both at the top end of my budget, especially after I factor in travel to London and buying some of the art from the installation I'm going to see.
I'm happy to stay in hostel style shared accommodation as long as it's safe** with lockers as I want to take along my DSLR and tablet for the journey.
Can anybody recommend somewhere close by, I don't mind a few miles radius or walking distance either to save money.
**I know no where is 100% safe but I just want my possessions to be OK while I'm out.
Also I would love to do something at night that doesn't necessarily cost a lot of money, maybe involving urban type art or just a good pub or club to hang out and maybe meet people in.

Cool, thank you. I did sit and type many possible options into Google but only came up with the same few results, which is why I asked in the first place, still thank you for posting the link. I will check them out later today.
I've stayed in City View Hotel a few times, both booked through that site. It's basic but it's all I needed. I used to pay about £15 a room cos they did student discount but this is a few years ago now!
