'I used to work on a checkout... Beep beep beep'
It may sound harsh and maybe i've been watching too much Frankie Boyle but I imagined an alternative to that ad.

I used to work on a checkout... beep..beep..beep...
    It was a boring life.

    Then I joined the army.
Two week later I was shipped off to Basra and had my legs blown off.

I wish I stayed at TESCO.

    Every little helps!

The one where the dubbed voice man tells his girlfriend that he's 'learning Japanese, my lotus Flower'? My thoughts are 'cybering with some Eastern version of Babestation, don't come in, mind that tissue on the floor'.

No, the one when they all sing

I am sure that the M&S advert is David Bowie singing and not the other person who has been quoted
It's Edwyn Starr. It was a famous song several years back.

We will have to agree to disagree because it was a famous song for David Bowie about 30 odd years ago and also covered by Iggy Pop. Why would the ad makers pay an artist repeat fees when they can use a song that they don't need to pay for because it has gone pass the date that requires it

    Internet myths
Contrary to several (incorrect) internet references, this song was never sung by David Bowie or Iggy Pop. It was written, produced, performed, and the copyright is held, by Edwyn Collins.

Well I got the spelling wrong so no probs!

No idea where this David Bowie/Iggy Pop things come from though, it's not as if the song was obscure upon release.

Oh! Is it back! Thought i had seen the last of it.

ANY and i mean ANY toothpaste ad.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned them? Especially one with the female dog 'Kate' who barks on about how she doesn't want to eat fruit because it's acidic.

So you have 'Change 4 Life' telling you to eat 5 fruit/veg a day, then you have some bint that's telling you not to! Who am i supposed to belive!

Thats the one I mentioned, so annoying! toothpaste ads need banning!!

I hate that freaky old man Charlie who lives in a BUPA care home with his chickens and his dear dead Margaret. He's 83 and even won a medal in the war! What was he - 15 or something?

I hate how toothpaste ads make out that just by changing your brand you can look like you've had $$$$ worth of cosmetic dentistry

The Sun ad .... that the narrator is welsh (i think) .... the ad goes on about the celeb culture and mentions the TOWIE lot ...

Don't read the paper being honest but I can't believe a newspaper would give that lot publicity  next they will speak about that Geordie Shore/The Valleys lot next .... if I want celeb news I'll happily avoid this crap!

    Oh my goodness, yes!

Still, there is a redeeming factor: the singer isn't one of those awful, breathy, twee female singers! (I'm quite surprised, actually!)

As annoying as the band are, they're not as bad as the bloke crunching away on a mouth full of crisps and dip with his muth wide open. Yuch. Oh and the bint who does that stupid shoulders up and down dance. Knobs the lot of 'um.
