Does anyone else out there have one of these surprising little boxes? I picked one up yesterday as I was after a somewhat more powerful emulator system than the Raspberry Pi and I have to say it really ticks my boxes. There's quite a few really good indie titles in the store too. The controller is really good too, especially for N64 stuff.

Ouya looking for a buyer.
I think I'm a curse!
Shame about the whole thing. I really like mine, and regardless of what happens here it's still worth buying imho.
Although to be fair I just thought that like the many attempts to do this before, it would fail to provide any real reason of being other than a new toy.
I didnt think it would go as badly as it has, and that whole episode with them scamming or sort of scamming or maybe scamming must have been the final nail in the coffin.
Its funny you should mention it though, I was just saying to my girlfriend that you dont hear anything about it anymore.
(if you enjoy it then by all means knock yourself out, but it just doesnt have any meaning, its not special or smart in any way, its just a PC really, one that costs a small fortune for what it is)
Not aware of the scams you mention, but that's a harsh outlook imho. I chose it because I wanted a simple central box that could handle my movie files and could play emulators and games too, as a replacement for the Pi. Now I love the Pi dearly but it does struggle at times. Sometimes I feel we are simply asking too much of it, much more than it was designed for. The Ouya was a terrific drop in replacement, and to top it off has a much, much nicer front end and a good library of games easily got at, with no swapping of SD cards or days spent configuring and setting up. It really isn't shite at all. It's just not a "gamer's" console, so it's no surprise to read gamers' pasting it.
Ideally someone like Google will buy it and turn it into their own service. Should be easy to update and keep it rolling as it's based on Android. I don't feel it should disappear as it does have at least some positive brand recognition and a good name. I wouldn't have thought it would be too hard for it to be salvaged.
Not heard of that one. Will check it out tonight!
Thanks 2D!

Blimey this looks fantastic to me. Gonna drop a tenner on it tomorrow. Not just Ouya, but PC and Mac too.
