Sometimes, but I don't really find them to be full of bargains. It's either really cheap quality (e.g. paper) or really small sizes.

I do get sweets from there every now and again, though.

I tend to get mainly batteries in there as well, but i'll often pop in there just to see if they've got any one-off deals or, in the case of poundland, any blurays.

The poundland near me got a freightload of Pop Tarts earlier in the year which was fun :)

I went in one and had a look around but nothing appealed to me

A lot of the things I buy in normal supermarkets cost less than a pound anyway

Not very often, seeing it costs £1.40 to park in our town for an hour. I have been in a few times. Once to buy a usb charger and once to buy an hdmi lead that was advertised on UK hot deals.

Uhu glue, not so much now though as they used to sell 75g (about that anyway) tubes, now they are half the size. Double sided foam tape when I used to make cards. Plasters, they do fabric ones which I can use, I'm allergic to elastoplast. Have bought After Eight's in the past but again the boxes now are smaller.

Why not... You're just paying for stuff half the price what you can get in supermarket

I just don't go to town much, and never go near the Poundshop. No sinister motives, I assure you.

For batteries, the ReadyCell from Home Bargains are very good.

The Duracell Plus Power only perform slightly better.

It does happen, but it's not that often. I picked up "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" on Bluray from the 99p store once.

Batteries, gum, candy, stationery, books, calendars, nail polish, teaspoons, etc. things that I'm not expecting a long shelf life from or that I'll donate when I'm done with it (books). Good for stocking stuffers at Christmas too.

So many people buying batteries, what for? games?

    Batteries seems old skool,

The latest technologies are smart phones and smart this.

What do you need batteries for?

I buy toiletries in pound shops.

I never used to but since buying toiletries, cleaning products and dog stuff from there I've saved myself about £50 a month off the shopping bill.
