Is it going to be repeated on TV anytime soon? A few months ago I read it was going to be repeated on Channel Five but nothing seems to have come from that. :(

Not sure but I think I read on a fan site somewhere that there was a problem with the rights that would stop a UK broadcaster showing it in its entirety, might be wrong but it rings a bell.....

Shame I'd love to see it all again

apparently a 3rd showing of the series would cost more as it would mean cast and crew would have to get residuals as that is the contracts they signed..how much they would get though I do not know..and it has already been shown twice in the UK in most regions (ITV and CH5)

Never keen on Julie - Liked Lexie though

I remember having a bit of a thing for Eve Wilder as well

I had a bit of a thing for both Lexie and Julie.
(mainly when they where together) :D

    Lexie more so though.

I would have though Lexie had come and gone by the time Julie turned up - My memory is not what it used to be though !

No, they became close friends not long after Julie came to Wentworth.

Did anyone go and see the stage version of Prisoner Cell Block H in the early 90s?

When I went to see it I was lucky enough to meet Fiona Spence at the stage door - what a lovely lady she was:)

it's a real shame you didn't get a proper send off and even though she might have been planning to leave, that exit must have been one of the most abrupt in TV history.

I think Erica did return a few years later for a few episodes.

She did as Head of Department and then IIRC resigned from that for a nice cushy job in Canberra

    Hi Pepman!!!!
That was Lainie Dobson lol..and she was involved in that unrealistic storyline of her boyfriend being inducted to a womans prison making out he looked like a woman and the police were too busy staring at HER tatoos to notice what he had down below!!

No - one of my big regrets, along with numerous others that I won't talk about on here :)

    My favourite characters are

    Lou Kelly
    Joan Ferguson
    Rita Connors
    Bobbie Mitchell
    Lexie Patterson

Bobbie Mitchell was incredibly well played, especially for such a young actress. And so endearing.

Gerda Nicolson was exceptional as Governor Ann Reynolds.
Had she been in a Hollywood movie she probably would have won an Oscar.

Personally, I don't like Bea, Lizzy or Doreen! I hate them. I find them both horrible and annoying.

What was the name of the blokes prison?
Plus the other prison, which Wentworth inmates used to get transferred to?

Pentridge was the blokes prison. The woman had a temporary stay there after the Great Fire

Other prison was Barnhurst, to which Vera was governor

But some went to the more secure Blackmoor
