Morning Glory [2010]. Director: Roger Michell

    6/10

What's the story? Young woman takes over as executive producer of a failing Breakfast TV show and turns it around. Familiar territory.

    THE A-TEAM *extended edition* (BR) - 7half/10

bonkers, rabbid, not sensible ..... those are the some of the descriptions i would make of this messy, but quite enjoyable romp through the eighties action scene :D as those lovable army rogues do battle with dodgy CIA fellows, miss biel as a love interest (some will say that ain't a bad thing :p ) and a maguffin straight out of THREE KINGS!!!

but for mental action with some quick fire sparring you can't go wrong with this update of one of my fav shows ..... in it's time!

and a GREAT and stupendous final shootout that needs to be seen to be believed!!!

    PROMETHEUS (BR) *revised* - 8half/10

a few changes to my first review for this .....
first, it is definately better viewed a second time, as i think it is a better movie AND story the more you watch it ..... yes those two numpties fifield and milburn still make you want to throw a rock at their heads :p and ask why they went back to the cylinder pod room in the first place!!

but on second viewing IT ACTUALLY STARTS TO MAKE SENSE!

it's not a lack of dread ..... more of a giddy excitement, and arrogance, that leads the prometheus to the place!

but the "surprise" is still handled like a brick with wheels ..... and i still have to work out the logic jump that janek makes, when he MAY HAVE realised what the place actually is!

but with flawless effect work, some nice touches from the other alien movies and even a hopeful ending ..... for shaw, not for everyone else ;) .....

but probably the BIGGEST reason why some don't like it, is it's FEEL ..... for those who haven't seen it yet, don't expect it to feel like ANY of the previous movies, it has a wierd all-emcomposing feel to it and certainly lauds over it's own hubris to indeed, produce a profound story of universal scope!

watching now on skyarts2 - KIRIKOU AND THE SORCERESS - 9/10

delightful animation of an african legend

    Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

One of my all-time favorite childhood films. I watched it last night on Blu ray and was stunned at how good the picture quality was. The film brought back some great memories. :)

Naboer (Next Door) - a tense dark psychological horror/suspense Norwegian film with a dose of violence. Some parts made me cringe. I still don't know if I liked it, but for now: 7/10

The Lake House. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but didn't really make much sense either. I liked the concept though 7/10
